Computed radiography (CR)
Computed Radiography (CR) is a digital imaging and diagnosis technology that uses a special fluorescence plate called “photostimulable phosphor” instead of the conventional X-ray films to process X-ray images in a short time with high sensitivity.
When an X-ray is irradiated to the plate, electrons generated in the plate are accumulated. A laser beam then scans (excites) the image formed on the phosphor plate, causing visible light to be emitted according to the amount of accumulated X-rays. A photomultiplier tube is then used to convert this weak visible light into electrical signals, which are then digitally processed to reconstruct an image.

Digital radiography (DR)
Digital Radiography (CR) is a form of X-ray image diagnosis that uses an X-ray flat-panel detector instead of the conventional X-ray films or imaging plate (IP).
X-ray flat-panel detectors are available in direct and indirect conversion types. The more common type is the indirect conversion type in which x-ray is first converted into visible light through a scintillator and then the visible light is converted into an electrical signal by a photodetector.
We adopted Cesium Iodine (CsI:TI) in the needle-like structure with superior resolution. Scintillators of varying sizes are available for medical and dental applications, as well as for non-destructive testing.
Our scintillators can be deposited onto three different types of substrates: aluminum, amorphous carbon, and fiber optic plates.

PET scanner
Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is a nuclear medicine functional imaging technique that is used in clinical oncology and for diagnosis of certain brain diseases, including dementia.
After injecting solution labeled with positron radioactive isotopes into a patient’s body, the photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) detect annihilation gamma rays emitted when a positron released in the body annihilates with an electron. The computer will then form cross-section images reflecting the distribution of positron radioactive isotopes.
SiPM (MPPC) or photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) coupled to scintillators are used for detecting these gamma rays.
We have the optimum detectors available for your PET from our extensive selection of SiPM (MPPC) and Photomultiplier Tube (PMT) products.
